Carney back to carrying Trump's water
I can't keep making videos on Carney's constant cockups over Iran. So I'm going to take the latest nonsense that is coming from him, try to come to a definitive conclusion and be done with it.
In a press conference on the 5th of March 20261, Carney made an absolute mess when he refused to categorically rule out involvement in the conflict. This is not what Canadians want to hear, which is why he keeps on getting asked about it. After all Jean Chretien did exactly this with the similarly horrific American invasion of Iraq2 more than two decades ago. Anyone who says Carney shouldn't do what Chretien did, presumably out of fear of Donald Trump, is accepting an elbows down, keeping an evil sign in the window approach, which is completely out of step with Canadian sentiment and the image Carney tries to project.
And one of the demands that he keeps on making is telling, he keeps on insisting that a necessary outcome of the illegal and unjustified attack on Iran is that "Iran's ability to... export terrorism is ended".
And the reason that this is indefensible is that this is a vague, open ended objective, with no way to measure that isn't completely made up. Let alone the fact that what Carney seems to consider terrorism is actually resistance to oppression and domination. Which is very Western Imperialist of him.
And that leads to the deepest and somewhat subtle problem, which is that every demand Carney makes is on the victim of the aggression. Because Iran got attacked, Carney seems to reason, Iran must surrender. This is the logic of an abuser. It is him running DARVO on behalf of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu. Look up the term on Wikipedia if you don't know it and come tell me how it doesn't apply because it 100% does.
I do not know what is in Carney's mind or heart. But what he advocates for is consistent with someone who believes it is completely alright for Western powers to inflict violence on native populations in order to enforce the will of Western business elites and because of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and the deepening cracks in Western hegemony, that is no longer acceptable.
Until something changes Canada is on the side of evil. And there's nothing more to be said. I'm done until Carney's approach changes or there is a change in leadership. I have other things to do.
